Autumn at Lempertz is marked by a blue star - 11.51 ct Kashmir Sapphire

A ring featuring an extraordinary Kashmir Sapphire is set to be the star of the jewellery auction in the upcoming autumn season at Cologne.

lt symbolises peace and tranquillity, but this autumn, the 11.51 ct Kashmir Sapphire will cause quite a stir in the saleroom at Lempertz on Neumarkt in Cologne. Kashmir Sapphires captivate with their saturated velvety blue colour. These stones are valued accordingly, fetching many times the price of other sapphires. A white gold ring with six diamonds sets the stage for the star of this autumn auction.

With an estimated price of €800,000 to €1,000,000, this precious piece is the highestvalued lot in Lempertz's autumn jewellery sale. A gemmological report by the Gübelin Gern Lab in Lucerne and an appraisal report by the German Society for Gemstone Appraisal (DeGEB)/ldar-Oberstein confirm the origin and fine quality of the sapphire.

The most sought-after emeralds come from Colombia. A pendant with an important cushion-cut Colombian emerald weighing 22.60 carats captivates audiences with its intense, bright green colour - characteristic of its Colombian origin (estimated price €300,000 to €400,000). Fine quality stones of this size are rare on the world market. The emerald has been certified by the German Gemmological Society (DSEF)/ldar Oberstein and appraised by the German Society for Gemstone Appraisal (DeGEB).

A rare high-carat diamond in a classic solitaire ring setting is also being offered: The large 16.27 ct transitional brilliant-cut diamond will come under the hammer with an estimated price of €200,000 to €300,000. A Natural Diamond Grading Report from the HRD (Hooge Raad voor Diamant) in Antwerp confirms its excellent quality (H, vs1).
