Old masters, new collectors

Only very rarely are Old Masters of the quality of Willem Kalf's Vanitas or Jan Davidsz. de Heem's flower still life, which will be called in the upcoming auction at Lempertz on May 17, 2025, rediscovered. In the expert talk at the auction house on Neumarkt, Fred Meijer compares the flower piece with de Heem's still life, which will be auctioned at Sotheby's and is of equal quality and from the same creative period.
